Meet Information

We have a big team this year and are expecting great things from our new and returning Crocs! Below is some information about the meets.

Swimmers should arrive at the pool for warm ups no later than 4:30 p.m. Be sure to check in with your coaches when you arrive to get your event numbers. Parents, please pay attention during the meet to make sure that your child gets to the Clerk of Course at the appropriate time before the meet begins. If you are new to the team, or have any questions please ask any coach or swim team board member. We will make sure you know what to do!

On the day of the meet, swimmers should stay out of the sun, get plenty of rest, and as always maintain a healthy diet. Foods high in carbohydrates tend to produce lasting energy. Remember to bring nutritious snacks and plenty of fluids. If the past couple of weeks have been any indication, it's going to be hot out there so swimmers should stay hydrated before, during, and after the meet. Towels, goggles, caps and Crocs t-shirts should be packed, but also remember that it might get a little chilly if the weather turns so pack a sweatshirt just in case. Meets are held in the rain, but lightning and/or thunder will cause delays. Swim meets are only cancelled or postponed to another night if dangerous weather persists.

Please be sure to notify your coaches if you do not expect to be swimming at this meet. There is a lot of pre-planning that takes place before each meet to ensure each swimmer is registered for the appropriate events and relays and we must know if you can't be there! Also, it is extremely important not to leave the meet before finding out if your child will be put in a relay. If one swimmer on a relay team is missing, the entire relay team has to be scratched. Please be considerate of others.

Parents, please also check to see if you have registered for volunteer assignments and be sure to fulfill your obligations. We need everyone's help to make sure that it is a fun, efficient, and safe night for all involved! Remember, each family is asked to work at least three meets (or 6 halves). Thank you for contributing your time and effort!

We expect our swimmers to be models of good behavior, both at our pool and away meets. Also, please be sure to leave the pool area free of litter at every meet. At our home meets in particular we would ask that swimmers and parents help by moving chairs and cleaning the deck area before leaving. Also, remember that parking is limited at our pool. If you live close to the pool please consider walking. If you have a friend that lives nearby also consider parking at their house. We want to make sure that are as many parking spaces available for our visiting team as possible.
